A chrysalises of words and long nights
A chrysalises of words and long nights. I thought I had died And gone to purgatory But it was only an eye test. My soul needed a map Because the one I had was outdated And you wouldn’t ask for directions So I went into the ocean And found the shell of secrets, Which whispered the name of my shadow. I went in search of her, And with my new eyesight, What I saw turned my future into butter. I couldn’t help but surrender And let her turn my bones to powder.
