Friends becoming strangers
Friends becoming strangers, Strangers becoming friends. A virus blurring the lines, Friendship impermanence, Object permanence, The horizon is on fire, The birds sound the same, But I am disoriented. Connections with pixels, Lives diluted through Bézier curves on a screen. I want to talk to you, But I don’t want to talk to you, You feel like a stranger. Am I a stranger. I don’t know what to say, You don’t know what to ask, Are we even interested Or was it all part of the veneer From before, When faces were flesh And other things mattered. We do not matter now.
