Dark & Surreal

I squeezed it within my fists so hard

I squeezed it within my fists so hard
That it became solid stone,
Mute and invisible,
I almost forgot it existed.
I did forget.
But one night, many lives later,
I was swallowed by the moonlight,
Drenched in the smell of my salted memories,
Garnished with bruises and the smell of smoke.
