Sensory Desire & Comfort

She always finds me, The Sea

She always finds me, The Sea.
Hello, goodbye,
She sings in tears.
In different ways, at different times,
She’s smoothing out the wrinkles of my heart,
Exfoliating my fears and drinking in my past.
She tells me I am loved
And that I’m here, before her,
As she hums her ancient magic
Every age of Man vibrating in every vertebrae
And so reminds me of my Power,
Of my life force rumbling and crashing,
Ebbing and flowing,
Each cycle more painful and more divine.
She whispers this to me
To soothe my crooked mortality
To fill the cracks with her salted kisses,
Sparkling like new snow.
