Love & Longing — Immersive & Present-Tense

She told him I was a firecracker

She told him I was a firecracker. The firecrackers burst before us, blinding our senses, making our ears ring. The silent lights in the sky in the past were dubbed by our sound effects. We’d never met before. I was taken aback by the beauty. Incredible as I was under an evil spell at the time. I’ve taken the cold medicine but is it working? The planet kept moving around and I could only hold tight and now I’m here, a tamed firecracker. There is code on the screen. He said we were algorithms anyway and it was meant to be because we’re just programmed that way. At the time I thought it was anti-romantic. Now I am pro-anti-romantic and the most crackly I’ve ever been.
