Self & Interiority

We don't need to be lovers to be intimate

We don’t need to be lovers to be intimate, to be significant. You are my calibration point. The bomb that triggered the end of a timeline. We feed the same wounds in different ways and translate our chaos into healing. We created a language that teaches us endurance rather than closure. But is our bond to stay suspended? We’ve saved each other in small, unannounced ways. You understand me enough to resist me. We define the flavour of our survival by hoping the other might redeem what time has hardened. We are wired by the emotional voltage of our strayed ways. We don’t need to be lovers to entwine our souls, to feel the eroticism of being recognised. To simply be known is to be loved.
